On Friday, October 10, 2025, the \u201cHesergil Race\u201d will take place around Afula. As a result, there will be changes and delays in the routes, as detailed below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Description of closure times and locations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From 4:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Line 240 – Yoash Dubnov Street (train station) – will be closed to traffic in both directions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, from 4:30 a.m. until approximately 9:30 a.m., the following roads will also be closed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lines 833 and 720 – From the Sarjal intersection to the student housing intersection – eastbound towards Afula\/Nazareth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From the Sarjal intersection to the southern entrance to Afula – in both directions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Traffic will be directed to alternative routes during the closures, according to the instructions of the police\/control forces in the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Impact on bus routes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Routes 883 and 720 – return direction (to Nazareth)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
First trips – until 09:30:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Travel on Route 65 eastbound as usual until after the Megiddo Junction station. At the Sarjal intersection, traffic will be diverted to the right (east). At the Yizrael intersection, turn left to Afula (to Route 60 north).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the entrance to Afula – turn right onto Menachem Begin Street (commercial area) and join Yitzhak Rabin Street northbound (towards Emek Hospital).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the new Upper Afula intersection, turn left onto the new side road (towards Tel Aviv). At the student housing intersection, turn right (north) to continue on the usual route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the end of the race, around 9:30 a.m., Route 65 will be open in both directions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Line 240 Sha’ab – Emek Yizrael College:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Travel via the new Afula bypass road in both directions, without passing through Afula, until 11:00 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
